Helping Children with Dyslexia -Aug 2024

SET.FOUNDATION is excited to announce Online self-paced training, endorsed by the Jamaica Teacher in Association (JTA) and Jamaica Independent Schools Association (JISA), this training will award participants a Level 1 certificate in “Helping Children with DYSLEXIA.” 

Teachers who participate in this course can begin teaching students with dyslexia or literacy gaps immediately.The training covers key modules, including:

  • What is Neurodiversity & Dyslexia
  • How We Screen for Dyslexia
  • What Teachers Should Look For
  • Common Signs & Challenges
  • Phonological Awareness


How to teach the Literacy Intervention Program (LIP)
We aim to equip 1,000 teachers to deliver the Stage 1 Literacy Intervention Program to students across Jamaica. Join us in empowering teachers to make a difference for students with specific learning difficulties!
