A New Collaboration

Society for Education and Technology Foundation (SET) has just launched its after-school program for children at St John’s Prep., and the Liberty Learning Centre, based in the north coast area of Jamaica. We are pleased that these forward-thinking principals matched with the in-depth data provided for each student, was paramount in deciding to incorporate the program within both schools.

During the pilot, parents and teachers observed marked improvement in behavior and schoolwork engagement, after a few days of screening and using the assistive technologies provided by SET.

SET will be offering the following programs:

  • Neurodiversity awareness, for educators, parents and students
  • Literacy/Dyslexia screening for children and adults
  • Literacy Intervention Program (LIP) training to enable school educators to implement LIP.
  • Language of HOPE
  • Executive Function Skills
  • Computer Assisted Learning (CAL)
  • Coding for kids.

SET, St John's Prep, and Liberty Learning Centre will join forces in a collaborative effort, pooling resources to provide after-school and weekend programs. SET will provide the technology, training, tools, and support required to make this a success. We are onboarding several other schools that have shown interest in our program.
Let us shine a light on learning differences and create a Dyslexia friendly society.
